But only on his first birthday and never again in this manner.
Anyone who knows me at all, knows how stressful this was for me to stand by and watch (as you can tell a bit by my commentary). The anxiety over the mess almost made me need a Valium!
Yes, I chose the blue icing. I know. Back off.

Oh, SO cute! I have to admit, I was stressing out a little bit just watching that. The harried mom in me was crying out, "No, not another mess! Noooooo!"
The blue icing is purty. It will be purty for the next several days in the stain around his mouth, too, lol.
It was so great to hear your voice...especially while saying, "Oh, sick." and, "That is gross." My personal favorite was, "No! Don't make him clap!!!" I am so proud of you!!!!!!!! I know that was terribly hard!
I love the, "Back off."

Christian is just adorable!
This reminds me of when we were visting for Eric's first birthday and Willy (sp?) and Geoff were eating large amounts of cake to see whose poop could turn more blue, quicker.
OH LAUREN! Did I have to hear that?
So cute Christian! I love the brothers and sisters in the background whooping it up. They make it all the more fun. And his little smile every once in a while when he realizes exactly what he's being allowed to do. I love you Christian!
I can't imagine why that would stress you out... hmmmm.....
That was just SO fun to watch. I loved the cheering, I loved the "don't make him clap" (I could hear myself saying the same thing) and I loved the cheesy grin he gave after the picture was taken at the end... LOL What a cutie!
How very, very fun! Happy B-Day Christian. MMMM, Love blue frosting!
